Hamas Video: A Hamas video just released on
their web site focuses on the broader Palestinian Islamic ideology,
promising the eventual conquering and subjugation of Christian
countries under Islam. The way Israel "ran" from Gaza after terror is
presented as the prototype for future Israeli and Western behavior in
the face of Islamic force. The video is a collection of statements by
Hamas terrorist leader, Yasser Ghalban, killed last week by
Palestinians, in the ongoing internal fighting. To view this video,

"We will rule the nations, by Allah's will, the USA will be conquered,
Israel will be conquered, Rome and Britain will be conquered. The
Jihad for Allah... is the way of Truth and the way for Salvation and
the way which will lead us to crush the Jews and expel them from our
country Palestine. Just as the Jews ran from Gaza, the Americans will
run from Iraq and Afghanistan and the Russians will run from Chechnya,
and the Indian will run from Kashmir, and our children will be
released from Guantanamo. The prisoners will be released by Allah's
will, not by peaceful means and not by agreements, but they will be
released by the sword, they will be released by the gun". The video
identifies itself as from the "Al-Qassam Brigades Media Office."

Al-Qaeda Video: The ideology is similar to the Al-Qaeda
ideology, and this can be seen by viewing an Al-Qaeda video seen now
on many sites on the Internet, likewise anticipating battles with
other religions throughout the world. "They Are Coming" is 12 minute
collection of scenes of Al-Qaeda's training around the world:
Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, Eritrea, Indonesia, Kashmir, Somalia,
Philippines, UK, Algeria and Pakistan. This propaganda video addresses
the American public with captions in English, images of dead and
injured American soldiers, and threats such as: "They Are Coming",
"Start digging your graves", and ends with a burning US flag. Click

Hamas: "Children fight alongside the
adults in the resistance"
The Hamas
promotion of terror and violence among Palestinian children
continues unabated. This past week, Hamas placed pictures on its web
site (see pictures below) of children in combat roles and combat
dress, taken during "Palestinian Children's Festival" held in Yemen.
The third picture below shows a girl wearing a sash with the name
Reem Riyashi on it. Reem Riyashi was a woman suicide terrorist who
killed four Israelis.
Yemen News
reported: "A Hamas representative [in Yemen] Jamal Issa … stated
that the Palestinian children fight alongside the adults in the
resistance."

It is somewhat ironic, that while this terror role-modeling for
children is being glorified by Hamas, the actual celebration of
terror for children took place in Yemen. This is the same Yemen, who
according to US News and World Report last week: "has become one of
America's most unexpected allies in counter terrorism." [March

polytheists out of the peninsula of Muhammad, to apply his law in
all aspects of life and on all people, and to remove injustice from
our oppressed brothers everywhere. To all the Muslim peoples
wherever they may be, I say: How long will you remain silent? How
long will you accept this humiliation and degradation? How long will
you continue to be ruled by the law of the tyrants, yet remain
silent? Where is your Islam? Where is your worship of Allah? Islam
is not a religion in name only - it is a religion of faith and
action. The Crusaders, the Hindus, the Zoroastrians, and their
apostate helpers rule and control you and your brothers. They are
fighting against your religion, and are fighting you in your
livelihood. They are violating your honor, yet you remain silent.
Have your humiliation and degradation brought you that low? Would
you agree to become apostates, Jews, or Christians? Would you agree
to abandon the religion of Islam? I ask every Muslim on the face of
the earth: Would you agree that one of these infidels enter your
home, and violate the honor of your sister, your mother, or your
daughter? Of course you would not. The women in Palestine, Iraq,
Afghanistan, Chechnya, Indonesia, Kashmir, and the Philippines are
our sisters, our mothers, and our daughters. I am amazed how you can
continue to sleep undisturbed, while your brothers are being killed,
and the honor of your sisters is being violated. Awaken from your
slumber, and support your oppressed brothers. Fight for the sake of
Allah, and you will receive one of the two good things: victory or
martyrdom. To the security forces, I say: I am amazed at you. When
you are told to wage jihad, you cling to this world. But when [Saudi
Interior Minister Prince] Naif Bin Abd Al-'Aziz tells you to sell
your souls to his government and to fight for his sake, and to
defend the Americans, in exchange for 3,000 riyals and hell - you
are willing to sell your souls cheaply. Have you stooped so low? Are
your souls worthless for you? He calls you 'martyrs of duty,' but
think what you will say to Allah if you meet him, after having
killed a mujaheed who fought for the sake of Allah, in order to
defend the Americans, or if he killed you when you were defending
the tyrants. Stop working for the tyrant, and join the mujahideen,
otherwise - you know full well who the mujahideen are, and what they
have prepared for those who stand in their way. To the Saudi
government, I say: All I say to you is what the Prophet Muhammad
said to the infidels of Qureysh, when he was alone: 'I have brought
slaughter upon you.' By Allah, your kingdom will come to an end. The
mujahideen will defeat you. Do you know why? Because Allah supports
us, and no one supports you. Do you know why? Because Allah said in
the Koran: 'If you support Allah, He will support you,' and we trust
and believe in the promise of Allah. If you only knew what our young
men have in store for you, you would be busy arranging your escape
from this peninsula. To the Americans, I say: Get out of the
peninsula of Muhammad, and all the lands of the Muslims, and stop
supporting the Jews in Palestine and the Christians in the lands of

for children glorified on Hamas children's web site

Suicide terror for children is now being
actively promoted on the Hamas children's web site
al-fateh.net.
The new
material
posted yesterday is a short fictional story for children, glorifying
a young girl's suicide terror attack. It describes how she calmly
progresses, step by step, planning and executing her death in a
suicide terror attack. The girl heroically leads "Zionist soldiers"
to their death, all the while knowing she will be killed along with
them. In death she is said to be "smiling, lying on the grass,
because she died as a Shahida (Martyr for Allah) for Palestine." The
story is entitled "A Palestinian Girl's Heroism." The illustration
with the story on the web shows a young smiling girl with four
candles. The image of a living, smiling child in a story about the
death of a child appears to echo a familiar message in PA children's
education, that those who die as Shahids (Martyrs for Allah) are not
really dead. (Click

The Jerusalem Post reports today on Hamas's attempt to deny
responsibility for this and other web sites administered from its
Beirut office. The Jerusalem Post article is reprinted below,
following the translation of the short story from the web site. It
should be noted that after PMW publicized that the Hamas children's
website was encouraging children to seek martyrdom, the Russian
server (CORBINA TELECOM Network Operations) immediately closed down
the website on March 9, 2006. However, the site reopened a couple of
days later and is now being hosted by a Malaysian webhoster (Eastgate;Telekom
Multimedia of Telekom Malaysia Berhad;Telekom Exchange II, Jalan
Lingkaran Fauna).
The following is the new short story on the web site:
A Palestinian Girl's Heroism
"Suad, the bright Palestinian girl, remembered what
the Zionist criminals did, when they killed her father and mother.
One day while Suad was walking, she heard a voice from the trees.
She turned and saw three men planting land-mines on the road
leading to the Zionist camp. Suad kept on walking. After a while,
she saw a car with some Zionists, and an idea popped into her
mind. She walked to the officer who was in the car, and told him:
"I'll lead you to Palestinian Fida'yon (literally: self
sacrificing fighters) in return for food, because I am hungry".
The officer was afraid of the Fida'yon's reputation, and didn't
believe what Suad told him. He then said to his soldiers: "Take
her to the camp so we will clarify her story". In the camp, the
soldiers brought food to Suad, so she would lead them to the
Fida'yon. She told them: "Before I taste any food, I must lead you
to the Fida'yon". The officer was very happy and told his
soldiers: "Let's go fast". On the way, Suad got ready to carry out
her plan. She decided to cause the car to ride over the
land-mines, so that all of the soldiers would die. Suad
sat next to the driver, to direct him, and she led him to the
land-mines. Then the [car] blew-up and all of the soldiers were
killed. As for Suad, well she became a Shahida (Martyr for Allah)
on the grass, while smiling, because she died as a Shahida for
Palestine".

Societies measure
their heroes in different ways. Some societies honor athletes or
performers. Others celebrate caregivers and humanitarian workers. The
Palestinians, on the other hand, have consistently chosen to honor
murderers as their national icons. The Palestinian Authority has
announced that it was granting honorary citizenship to two Arab
terrorists who killed Israelis – a Lebanese terrorist, Samir Quntar,
and Jordanian terrorist, Sultan Al-Ajaluni. Both are serving life
sentences in Israeli jails. In 1979 Lebanese terrorist Samir Quntar
murdered Danny Haran and his four-year-old daughter, Einat. Danny's
daughter Yael, aged two, suffocated while hiding in a crawl space with
her mother. Quntar is serving multiple life sentences totaling 542
years in prison.
Smadar Haran, wife
and mother of the murder victims, described the murder in the
Washington Post in 2003:
"It was a murder
of unimaginable cruelty… It had been a peaceful Sabbath day. My
husband, Danny, and I had picnicked with our little girls, Einat, 4,
and Yael, 2, on the beach. Around midnight … the terrorists burst
into our building. Danny helped our neighbor climb into a crawl
space above our bedroom; I went in behind her with Yael in my arms.
Danny grabbed Einat and was dashing out the front door when the
terrorists came crashing into our flat. They held Danny and Einat …
I will never forget the joy and the hatred in the terrorists voices
as they swaggered about hunting for us, firing their guns and
throwing grenades. … As I lay there, I remembered my mother telling
me how she had hidden from the Nazis during the Holocaust. "This is
just like what happened to my mother," I thought. .. The terrorists
took Danny and Einat down to the beach. There, according to
eyewitnesses, one of them shot Danny in front of Einat so that his
death would be the last sight she would ever see. Then he smashed my
little girl's skull in against a rock with his rifle butt. That
terrorist was Samir Quntar." [Smadar Haran Kaiser, Washington

This is the Samir
Quntar who last week was granted honorary Palestinian citizenship.
Palestinian organizations responded with applause to this
announcement:
"The "friends of
the prisoners" organization sees the decision, of the present [Fatah
led] government, to award Palestinian citizenship to two Arab
prisoners – Samir Quntar from Lebanon and Sultan Al-Ajaluni from
Jordan – an act of Palestinian national obligation and in dedication
to this honored history, that the Arab prisoners have provided to
the Palestinian issue."...[Al-Quds, Mar. 7, 2006]..."The
Palestinian Liberation Front, through general secretariat member,
Dr. Wasil Abu Yusuf, praised the government's decision… to award the
imprisoned fighters, Sarmir Quntar and Sultan Al-Ajaluni , honorary
citizenship and Palestinian citizenship as an act of dedication to
their struggle and their heroic suffering in the occupation's
prisons....[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 8, 2006]..."The
Palestinian Popular Committees expressed their appreciation for the
government's decision to award the two imprisoned fighters, Sarmir
Quntar and Sultan Al-Ajaluni, honorary citizenship and Palestinian
citizenship as an act of dedication to their struggle and their
heroic sufferings in the occupation's prisons. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida,

PATV and PA leaders have long seen Quntar as a
hero. His picture is repeatedly shown on TV and he was proclaimed the
"model warrior," "brave," and a "leader" and "head" of the prisoners.
PA Minister of Prisoners, Hisham Abdul Razeq, defined Quntar as the
leader of the prisoners:
The torch of
freedom [that] was lifted by our heroic prisoners and headed by the
great warrior Samir Quntar...and our thanks to you.

Prominent PA TV
broadcaster Muhammad Albaz:: "Here before us is the picture of the
great Lebanese Palestinian warrior Samir Quntar. A thousand
blessings to the warrior Samir Quntar [the audience claps] and to
his family in Lebanon and to this hero who was sentenced to 576 year
[in prison] and this is the evil and this is Israeli democracy. [PATV,
Aug. 25, 2004]. PA TV extolled him:: "Quntar is a model of a
brilliant warrior - who believes in his goals, knows his way, and
perseveres in achieving those goals...." [PATV, Aug. 18, 2004].
Another TV broadcaster referred to him as a leader: "The leader
Samir Quntar, our wish for him is that he will soon be released." [PATV,
Aug. 18, 2004] . A broadcast describing Quntar's life defines
his murder as "brave: "He was sentenced to 542 years in prison for
committing the brave Nahariya action in Palestine (note-Israel city
of Nahariya is defined as 'Palestine.'), [PATV, Aug. 18, 2004]...Palestinian
demonstrators supporting a prisoner hunger strike singled out Quntar
as a model to be followed: "We bless the family members of Samir
Quntar, we are with you. He is your son but he is also our son, the
son of Palestine. We ask of Allah, that there will be 100 more Samir
Quntars, 1,000 more Samir Quntars, 1,000,000 more Samir Quntars,
that do and act for the Palestinian issue.

Finally it should
be noted that this act of granting honorary Palestinian citizenship to
Quntar was done by the present Fatah headed government. The Hamas led
government has not yet been appointed.

Palestinian terrorist group Hamas won almost two-thirds of the seats
in the Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections. The Hamas
charter calls for the extermination of Jews as well as the destruction

Post-Election Video: Gaza leads
to Haifa: A video placed on the Hamas
website after its victory in the January 25, 2006 Palestinian
Authority parliamentary elections makes clear that Hamas still
considers itself as a violent group aiming at nothing less than
Israel's destruction. The video promises that the "homeland is
returning through blood" at the same time an image of the Israeli
coastal city of Haifa is displayed. Click

Hamas Video:
More terror; Israel will be destroyed : In October
2005, Hamas placed on its website a half-hour video that can only be
seen as part of its election campaign. The video reviews what its
makers see as recent Hamas successes as well as its plans for the
future. The video features military-style training for Hamas
terrorists and explicit encouragement of suicide terrorists and their
mothers. The well-publicized Hamas plan to destroy Israel is
reiterated, as are Hamas plans to remain the "resistance" (the
Palestinian euphemism for terror) group of choice for all Palestinian
and jihad terrorists. The video appeared on the Hamas site at
almost the same time that the US State Department made clear that it
would make no attempt to block Hamas from participating in the January
25, 2006 Palestinian parliamentary elections. The EU and UN also
agreed that Hamas, which appears on official EU and US lists of
terrorist organizations, could participate in the elections.

"Muhammad said in his Hadith: 'The Hour [of Resurrection] will not arrive until
you fight the Jews and the rock and the tree will say: O Muslim, servant of
Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!'
"The Prophet
said: the Resurrection will not take place until the Muslims fight the
Jews, and the Muslims kill them. The Muslims will kill the Jews, rejoice
[in it], rejoice in Allah's victory. The Muslims will kill the Jews, and
he will hide... "The Prophet said: the Jews will hide behind the rock and tree,
and the rock and tree will say: oh servant of Allah, oh Muslim this is a

Israel's leaving the Gaza Strip is being presented by the Palestinian Authority
and the Hamas as a victory for Islam. Palestinian Authority religious leaders
and Hamas have for years been presenting their conflict with Israel as
part of an unbroken religious war, which Allah is waging against Jews - a
conflict whose climax will be the extermination of the world's Jews.
(Palestinian Media Watch has reported on this ideology. See documentation
below.) Within this context, Israel's leaving its towns in Gaza now, is being
presented as a victory of Islam in this war. Palestinian Authority Television
hosts and participants alike are calling the Israeli moves from its towns as a
'great victory for Allah'. The Hamas website publicized numerous posters that
declare the same religious victory theme. The Hamas poster below, showing a face
of Hamas founder Ahmad Yassin laughing, superimposed over a somber
religious Jew, presents the Sharon evacuation plan as a victory of the
Koran over the Talmud. The words on the poster: "Our Koran proves that we were
right and your Talmud proves that you were wrong..." Another Hamas poster shows
a rifle and the Koran with the words: "With those two together the victory has
been achieved." One example from the Palestinian Authority's official daily:
"...The manager of the office of the Ministry of the Waqf in northern Gaza,
Farid Al-Nayard, said, '...last Friday's sermon was under the title 'On that
day the Believers will be glad with the victory of Allah.''" [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida,
August 13, 2005]. In June 2004 Palestinian Authority religious leader Ibrahim
Mudayris already preached the religious significance he saw in Sharon's
plan, connecting it to an event described in the Koran, specifically
focusing on Israel's plan to destroy the towns before leaving. The Koranic
event and the present expulsion, according to this senior PA imam, have
numerous parallels: 1. Attacks by Muslims against Jews 2. Jews become fearful 3.
Jews destroy their own homes 4. Jews flee their towns. Mudayris' sermon of June
4, 2004. "If you [today] trust in Allah, like Muhammad's companions, by Allah,
it will not be impossible for Allah to expel the Jews. "[Allah] fought
against them [as is written in the Koran] through their weak hearts
because they are cowards. When they saw someone killed, terror entered
their hearts and they started destroying their own homes. "And now the media
reports that they will leave the settlements. Indeed, they will leave
Gaza. They will leave submissive, by Allah's will. They will leave
defeated, like it or not, in the face of this great victory." [Ibrahim Mudayris,
PA TV, June 4, 2004]. The following is the text Mudayris was referring to in the
Koran: "He [Allah] is the one who has caused those of the People of the Book
[i.e. Jews] who disbelieved to leave their homes unto the first expulsion.
You did not think that they would leave, whereas they [the Jews] were
certain that their fortresses would defend them against Allah. But Allah
reached them from a place where they did not expect, and cast terror in
their hearts so that they destroyed their homes with their own hands and
the hands of the believers...!" [Surat Al-Hashar]. Previously reported
examples of numerous Palestinian Authority religious and academic leaders
presenting the war against Israel as a religious war that will end with
the extermination of the Jews. 1. Muhammad Abd Al Hadi La'afi, responsible for
Religious Teaching and Instruction in the Office of the Wakf: "The battle
with the Jews will surely come... "The Prophet spoke about in more than one
Hadith and the Resurrection will not come without the victory of the
believers [the Muslims] over the descendants of the monkeys and pigs and
with their annihilation." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 18, 2001]. 2. Ibrahim
Mudayris, Head of the Association for Memorizing the Koran. "The Prophet said:
the Resurrection will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews, and
the Muslims kill them. The Muslims will kill the Jews, rejoice [in it],
rejoice in Allah's victory. The Muslims will kill the Jews, and he will
hide... "The Prophet said: the Jews will hide behind the rock and tree, and the
rock and tree will say: oh servant of Allah, oh Muslim this is a Jew

here]. "The Jews will not live under our rule agreeably permanently, since they
have been treacherous in nature throughout history. A day will come when all

"Don’t ever relinquish your rights. Whatever agreements may be signed, even if
agreements are signed on Gaza and the West Bank, we shall not forget Haifa,
Acre, the Galilee and Jaffa, the Triangle and the Negev and the rest of our
cities and villages! It is only a matter of time! The weak will not remain
forever weak. And the strong will not remain forever strong. With the help of
blessed Allah, that’s the way the Jews are! Have no mercy on the Jews, no matter
where they are, fight them, wherever you are. Wherever you meet them, kill them.
Wherever you are, kill the Jews, the Americans, who are like them, and those who
stand by them. They are all in one trench against the Arabs and the Moslems. ...
It is forbidden to befriend Israelis or to aid them. Don’t love them or enter
into agreement with them, don’t help them or sign accords with them. Anyone who
does this is one of them. This is the word of Allah, blessed be He. They, they
are the terrorists. They should be slaughtered. They should be murdered. Such is

Abbas: Terrorists are "our heroes"
Israelis leaders anxiously look
to Mahmoud Abbas as a potential peace partner, largely because of
his moderate statements in English. However, his Arabic statements
continue to show admiration for even the most depraved terrorists.
Likewise, Abbas rejects terror for tactical reasons only -- not
because it is immoral. During a television interview this week,
Abbas twice referred to those terrorists serving "tens of life
sentences" in Israeli jails as "our heroes." The terrorists who are
serving "tens of life sentences" are those arch terrorists who have
personally killed tens of Israelis,, and are sentenced to one life
sentence for each murder. These are the people whom Mahmoud Abbas
calls "our heroes."
In the statement on PA TV about the jailed terrorists' recent
attempts to bring peace between the Fatah and Hamas, Mahmoud Abbas
expressed his satisfaction with the: "initiative of our brothers,
our jailed heroes, who have presented a similar initiative [for
dialogue] . . . the initiative proves that these heroes, who are
sentenced to tens of life sentences, feel too that the homeland is
in danger..." PA TV May 23, 2006].
As PMW has reported
in the past, even in his so-called "condemnations" of terror
attacks, Abbas has always been careful in Arabic not to condemn
terror because it is evil or immoral. He has criticized suicide
terror only because it hurts the PA cause, as he did after the
December 2005 suicide attack that killed five in Netanya. Click here

PMW Comment:
Israeli and Western leaders are so eager to find a viable partner
for peace that they often mistake Palestinian Authority leaders'
"lip service" in English as statements of truly peaceful intentions.
But as PMW has reported for the past decade, the only way to
understand these leaders' real opinions is to pay attention to what
they are telling their own people in Arabic. These are the only
messages that count.
THE
ADMIRATION OF HITLER AMONG PALESTINIANS

newspaper boasts: Hitler called Palestinians model revolutionaries

The Hamas
newspaper this week chronicled with pride the ways in which
different foreign leaders singled out the Palestinians as examples
of ideal revolutionaries. The first leader cited by the Hamas
weekly, Al-Rissala, for praising the Palestinians was Adolf Hitler:
"Adolf Hitler, while exciting the Germans of the Sudetenland - the
Sudetenland is a German province that the Allies had annexed to
Czechoslovakia after the First World War - told them in his
broadcasts: Look at what the Palestinian revolutionaries are doing
to Great Britain!!"

Overview: Admiration of
Hitler in the Palestinian Authority:
It may be surprising to Western observers to see Palestinians taking
pride in having been praised by Hitler. But it is important to
understand that the utter revulsion of Hitler expected in the West
is not true in Palestinian society. Palestinians can be found who
are named "Hitler" as a first name: Hitler Salah

This phenomenon of Palestinians being named after Hitler was
explained in an article in the official PA daily praising the
rewriting of history and the doing of "justice" to Hitler: "Even
Adolf Hitler, who after the fall of Nazi Germany turned into a
political horror for most of the writers and artists, during the
last decades has started to return himself to his part of the
picture. There are some in Britain who defended Hitler and tried to
do justice for him. There are elderly people, among them Arabs, who
still carry the name Hitler since their fathers, who were charmed by
him, linked them [their children] with his name."

article explained the phenomenon of naming Palestinians after
admired foreign leaders - such as Napoleon and the Nazi General
Rommel: "Sometimes parents name their children with foreign names,
due to the father's admiration to a foreign personality. This is the
source of the names: Rommel [famous Nazi General] and Napoleon."

The admiration for Hitler is consistent with the
status of Mein Kampf, which a PA daily cited as a book on the best
sellers' list.

A contributing factor to this
admiration may be the history of the Hitler - Arab alliance during
World War 2. The Arab leader in British Palestine, the Mufti Haj
Amin al-Husseini, was actively allied with Hitler. The numerous
meetings between the Mufti and Hitler are well documented. Finally,
the PA daily published an interview with an elderly Lebanese which
described the man's professed friendship with Hitler, as well as his
pride in fighting for Hitler: And whereas this is a personal account
whose historical accuracy is not important, what is significant is
the positive, even proud attitude about his friendship with Hitler,
that is being expressed so routinely. Interview with Sheikh Ali
Hussain Abu-Ibrahim, a Palestinian resident of Lebanon who claims he
is 116 years old: "Question: What are the important events in your
life that left the biggest impression? Answer: The first was the
Hitler event. I met him in Jerusalem in one of the Turkish Army
camps, and the friendship between us was very tight. At the time I
was a sergeant while Hitler was a simple private. The relationship
between us tightened even more once Turkey entered the war together
with Germany. The second event was when I participated [with the
Nazi army] in entering France and conquering it. I was in charge of
the cannon that shelled Paris, which had an active influence on the
fall of the French capital and its conquest without any notable
resistance. Hitler congratulated me on this shelling and its
consequences… As an artillery officer I took part in many operations
against the English and France, until the end of the Second
World-War …"

Clearly, the name Hitler does not have the
stigma in PA society that it has in the West. Indeed, not only the
Hamas daily, but the Fatah controlled PA dailies as well, have
written in favorable tones about Hitler. Clearly, to some
Palestinians the man and his name are sources of admiration
